Amelia Hashemi is a half Iranian, half English writer/director who grew up in Leeds but now lives in London. Amelia cut her teeth in the business with a variety of roles including assisting some of the top casting directors in the British industry. This experience has proven invaluable to her as a director since, as Amelia observed, “The first thing I think of in my creative process is the cast, because I know the casting process so well.”

The critical success of her first two short films “Don’t Blame Us Cos We’re Famous” and “Night Out” catapulted her into the world of advertising where so far she’s directed a series of renowned commercials that went on to screen at Cannes Lions, and were nominated at Campaign Big Award.”
