Bio

Federico Luis Tachella was born in Buenos Aires in 1990. He studied Social Communication at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2013, he co-directed “Vidrios”, his school thesis that premiered at that same year’s Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival. In 2018, he shot “Mirko”, his first short film, which won the Audiovisual Award, from the Argentinian National Endowment for the Arts and also premiered at Buenos Aires  International Film Festival. His short film “La Siesta” (The Nap) won best short film at the 2019 Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival, had its international premiere at the Official Short Film Competition of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and won an honorable mention for the best short film at the Toronto Film Festival. His last short film, “El beso” (The Kiss) was premiered in the International Competition of the BAFICI 2021.

Since 2015 he works as a director in advertising. He has directed over 50 pieces in the last few years, including commercials and music videos.
